Mompou may be in New Jersey, but Newark isn’t that far away, and the restaurant and tapas bar has an interesting line-up of upcoming performances. Xianix Barrera will appear on Easter at 5:00 pm; the Barcelona Flamenco Ballet will present a flamenco-infused take on Bizet’s Carmen on 9 May at 7:30 pm; and on Father’s Day, 16 June, the Los Cintron Bros will strum flamenco and Gypsy Kings music at 1:00 pm. Looking 4ward 2 coming down 2 Newark, my home town on 5/9. My girlfriend & I will b attending this Restaurant 2 eat tapas, drink & c Flamenco. I used 2 go in 2 City with my husband, Frank Gonzalez & c Soledad Barrios. She is a wonderful dancer. My husband has passed away almost 4 & 1/2 years ago. Miss him & Flamenco. His family is from Galicia. I hope 2 visit Spain in 2026.
